Session Pricing

$75 per hour for short term lessons
$70 per hour for ongoing lessons

Sessions are booked and invoiced in blocks of four.
Sessions are available in 1-hour, 1.5-hour, or 2-hour sessions.

TARA LESLIE

As a creative coach and practicing multidisciplinary artist, I support students in building both technical skills and creative confidence. My lessons are designed to help you break through blocks and reconnect with daily creativity—whether you're just starting out or returning to art after a long pause.

I work across a broad range of mediums including coloured pencil, watercolour, acrylic, ballpoint pen, and digital painting. No matter the medium, my focus is always on capturing the spirit of the subject—human or animal—and helping you find your own visual voice along the way.

1. What’s the difference between art tutoring and creative coaching?
Art tutoring focuses on developing your practical skills — like drawing, painting, composition, or digital techniques — with personalised guidance to help you improve your craft.
Creative coaching, on the other hand, explores mindset, motivation, and creative confidence. It’s about helping you overcome blocks, reconnect with inspiration, and move forward with your creative goals. Many students benefit from a blend of both.

2. Do I need to be an experienced artist to book sessions?
Not at all. My sessions are tailored to meet you where you are — whether you’re a total beginner, a hobbyist, or an established artist looking to refine your skills or creative process. We’ll start by clarifying your goals and design each session around what matters most to you.

3. How are the sessions run — online or in person?
You can choose what works best for you. Sessions are available in-studio (in Barcaldine, QLD) or online via video call. Both options include the same level of personal support, resources, and follow-up guidance to keep you progressing between sessions.
